Power cable paper, also known as cable insulation paper, is an insulating paper used for high voltage power cables, control cables and signal cables. The power cable paper is wrapped in the outermost layer of the cable to protect the insulation layer of the conductive core from intrusion of moisture and damage to the insulation layer. The power cable paper is a roll paper with a basis weight of 45-175 g/m². Power cable paper is tough, uniform, with high tensile, folding and tear strength, free of metal, sand and conductive acid, high dielectric constant, low power factor, and is
treated with insulating liquid. The stability of the power cable paper is good.

The varieties of power cable paper are divided according to different thickness or color. The unbleached sulphate softwood pulp is used as raw material. After being beaten in free form, it is not glued or filled (material), and is made on the long net paper machine. Used for turn-to-turn insulation of wires or cables.
