Advanced Composite Polyimide Film

Polyimide film is one of the earliest products of polyimide, used for slot insulation of motor and cable wrapping material. A transparent polyimide film can be used as a soft solar cell substrate. The sails of IKAROS are made of polyimide film and fiber. In the thermal power generation sector, polyimide fibers can be used for the filtration of hot gases, and polyimide yarns can separate dust and special chemicals from the exhaust gases.

Coating: Used as an insulating varnish for electromagnetic wire or as a high temperature coating.Advanced composite materials: for aerospace, aircraft and rocket components. It is one of the most resistant structural materials. For example, the U.S. supersonic passenger aircraft program is designed to have a speed of 2.4M, a surface temperature of 177°C during flight, and a service life of 60,000h. It has been reported that 50% of the structural material is a carbon fiber reinforced composite material based on a thermoplastic polyimide as a matrix resin, and the amount of each aircraft is about 30 tons.

Fiber: The modulus of elasticity is second only to carbon fiber, as a filter material for high temperature media and radioactive materials, and bulletproof and fireproof fabric. Changchun, China has a variety of polyimide products.
Foam: Used as a high temperature insulation material. Engineering plastics: thermoset or thermoplastic, thermoplastics can be molded or injection molded or transfer molded. Mainly used for self-lubricating, sealing, insulating and structural materials. Guangcheng polyimide materials have been applied to mechanical parts such as compressor rotors, piston rings and special pump seals.

Separation membrane: used for the separation of various gas pairs, such as hydrogen/nitrogen, nitrogen/oxygen, carbon dioxide/nitrogen or methane, and removes moisture from air hydrocarbon feedstock gases and alcohols. It can also be  used as a pervaporation membrane and an ultrafiltration membrane. Due to the heat resistance and organic solvent resistance of polyimide, it is of particular importance in the separation of organic gases and liquids.
